Mel's Triple Coast 2 Coast Challenge supports SCHF

Kev had a quadruple bypass in March at James Cook. To thank the surgeons and staff who took care of him, Mel decided to set herself a fundraising challenge, cycling three Coast 2 Coasts over three weekends this summer.

First came the Whitehaven to Sunderland 145 mile route, travelled over three days at the end of June. This was followed with another 174 miles in August covering the Walney Island to Sunderland trail, both completed with a friend.

The challenge was completed with the Morecambe to Bridlington Way of the Roses, a solo effort, with Kev following in their camper van.

Mel's magnificent challenge raised a fantastic £1800 for our Cardiothoracic Centre.
