Recent Donations

The South Cleveland Heart Fund exists to support the Cardiothoracic unit at The James Cook University Hospital by providing funds for equipment and training and research that would not be currently available through NHS funding. So far it has raised well over £1million to support all aspects of the Unit and below this page provides details of some recent donations that we have received. We would like to take the opportunity to say a "Big Thank You!” to all our supporters without whose generosity we could not do the vital work that we do

Aled Jones raises £4504.50 for the SCHF

Aled Jones and his Mum Elsie, at a presentation on Ward 29 of £4504.50 (with gift aid) raised by a fantastic solo unsupported Land`s End to John O`Groat`s Cycle ride achieved in 7 days.
 
This trip was in memory of his father who died suddenly from a heart attack 20 years ago.
 
The banner was made by friends to commemorate the great feat. Some money was also donated to the British Heart Foundation.

Benidorm or Bust' Rally raises £1000

They got as far as Lloret-del-Mar and raised £1000 for us in the guess the mileage competition, and donations on Just Giving.

Boots staff support SCHF

Clay Pigeon Shoot raises £1500

Thank you for a great donation of £1500

Mr Alan Petch organised a Clay Pigeon Shoot in support of SCHF £1m appeal.

This was a great family afternoon, SCHF were in attendance and there was competitions, food and have-a-go stand giving an opportunity for members of the public to have ago at clay pigeon shooting.

Everyone had an enjoyable time and the support for The South Cleveland Heart Fund was wonderful.
