Fundraising Efforts

An informative and entertaining evening about wines, how they are produced and bottled with 7 lovely wines tasted. All generously provided by Dennis Claridge. Money is still coming in but we have made well over £1000. Thank you to Dennis and the wine pourers (including his son Tim), and all who attended and gave generously.

Huge thank you again to Michael Davidson who generously donated another food hamper for us to raffle. We sold tickets throughout late November and December and the draw took place on the 21st December . We divided the contents into 2 and raffled them on Ward 29 and Cardiology Outpatients at James Cook University Hospital. Tickets were on sale from mid November and it was drawn on the 21st December. The first winning ticket drawn was a SCHF Committee member, Tracy Wood. who works in Cardiology Services. Whilst drawn fairly – Tracy generously elected to donate her hamper to Nite Light CIC – so 2 charities have benefited! The 2nd winning ticket was an inpatient – who was delighted! We raised an excellent total of £288. Thank you to all those who bought tickets and staff who helped sell them, and again, to Michael for the donation

Fabulous time at Stokesley Town Hall - raising over £650. Thank you to all who attended, all bakers, jam makers and stall holder - and especially Jeanette from Pippa Teas for the amazing tea and tea product donations. Also thanks to both Co-Ops for their generous donations of strawberries and cream

Following the enormously successful event hosted by SCHF Committee members Terry & Heather Foreman last year, they organised another hugely enjoyable vent at Middlesbrough Golf Club. Approximately 80 people attended, the food was fabulous and the music, again provided by Last Anthem was brilliant. The raffle and auction raised over £4000. Thank you especially to Terry & Heather, Last Anthem and all who came and spent money! We are, as ever, extremely grateful to the generosity of local business for the donation of raffle and auction prizes it is difficult in these economic climes, but your kindness was appreciated.

Ray Harker organised a Charity Day for us at Hunley Golf Club where he is this year’s Captain. We are so grateful to him, the Club and the 150+ golfers who signed up and played on a beautiful if breezy course. They raised over £4000 including a donation of £1500 from the Wood Group. Thank you so much and we are delighted you hope to repeat this next year
