Cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats for SCHF

News item posted 12-06-2016

Twenty years ago today, June 12th 1996, Neville Jones and his wife Elsie drove to work as usual. Elsie returned home on my own - Neville had suffered a massive heart attack and died in his office. They had three boys - 12, 8 and 5.

As a tribute to his Father, Aled, their middle son, a keen cyclist, has decided to cycle from Land's End to John o'Groats in seven days - a distance of over 900 miles - on his own with no back-up. Quite a challenge we are sure you will agree.

Aled has decided to raise money for two charities - the South Cleveland Heart Fund and the British Heart Foundation. He is aiming high and hopes to raise £5000. Every penny counts. If you would like to help him reach this target, Aled has a web site for donations.

Aled will start on his long journey on Monday morning June 20th.

SCHF Thank Aled for his support and wish him well.
